[Photography] Lewes Bonfire - weebls-stuff forums

I spent this evening in Lewes for their bonfire celebrations (wikipedia for anyone who wants to read up about it). Don't have photoshop installed at the moment so these are just resized straight off the camera. Might do some tweaking at a later date, but for now:

All using my Canon 500D + Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

Oh man you've captured the lighting beautifully. Never heard of the Lewes bonfire before but might have to check that out next year, it looks amazing.
Particularly fond of the third (Policeman with what appears to be an old-skool flare to clarify) and the fifth (Child appearing to be encaptured by the torch, again to clarify)

Big plusses for you my good sir!

Took the liberty of editing out the background of one (Unable to sleep so kinda bored...), hope you don't mind, but I quite like how it looks
*is fond of editing out backgrounds to see how dramatic or odd the lighting looks*

Wow! This looks wayyyy better than the one we have up here! Like a proper procession! Does everyone walk to the bonfire? It's very atmospheric and the costumes make it all the more interesting, is there a theme to it all or do you just wear anything? Great photos!
