What?

I assume that's something to do with the Lisbon treaty passing and the fact that the Conservatives promised a referendum on the issue. Obviously that can't happen now but I'm very surprised that they don't seem to already have a policy if it passes. It's been pretty obvious that the Czechs would sign up for a while and now it'll take a few days before they announce what they'll be doing.

Sounds like poor planning to me. I hate to think what would happen if a Tory government had to deal with anything unexpected on a crisis scale.

My MP (conservative) is certainly having a tough time. He paid £100k into a company he made up on expenses and then called everyone Nazis and compared the treatment of the MPs to the holocaust. It's not even one of those funny ones where you can argue that you need a duck house to keep your ducks warm, or pencils to go about state business.

However, my area is terminally conservative, so they would still blindly re-elect him. He is standing down though.
