Black Mesa, for those who somehow don't know, is a complete remake of Half Life 1, a team attempting to rectify the slight dissapointment of Half Life Source bundled with Half Life 2. Time is closing in for this game to be sitting on our desktops (With the promised release date of 2009) for all of us to enjoy another eleven years of Half Life 1. I thought with how good this game looks, it deserved a topic of its own. So if you've got any news or just want to share your anticpation/excitement or want to share your favourite media release, lets have 'em

yeah it'll be one hundred percent free, all you need is the most recent Half Life 2 release (Which was episode two), the big rumour is there going to release it November 19th (Half Lifes 11th Anniversy), how true that is we have to wait and see, but the devlopers of this mod have promised this mod will be released this year and keep ensuring us its coming, so shouldnt be long!

Outstanding, I've been following this since it was Black Mesa: Source, it's got some of the best music in it I've seen in a mod.

It's really really good to see that the game has got through the development hell which most major fan-mods seem to get stuck at!

i've been following the youtube and stuff and every time they release some stupid tech test video or something i get so excited.
i've tried to play half life 1 like 3 times but couldn't get past how much it's aged. really looking forward to being able to play a modernised version of it.

I'm keeping myself from playing HL1 so I can play this one ^^

So you need episode2? I've got HL1/2 on Steam, but episode1/2 on PS3, so.. that's gonna be a bit of a bitch
