V
V started last week in America, its a remake of an old eighties Sci-Fi show, it has a strong cast, including the sexy Juilet from Lost, and stunning special effects, you would normally except to see in a film. It's about a group of "Vistors" seemingly "coming in peace" and in exchange for our basic minerals like water, they give us knowledge of their tech, but the V's have a secret agenda... I really enjoyed the pilot (Best Pilot I've seen this year), and would highly reccomend it to any Sci-Fi fan, has anyone else seen it? And if so what did you think? i heard it's basically right-wing propaganda, the aliens are offering "change" and "hope" and "universal healthcare" but their real plans are to eat everyone or something

And that's the bit of the brain that deals with time perception. So, a second feels like a month. Well, it almost sounds like fun...unless you're the Prague schoolboy who walked out into the street straight in front of a tram. He thought he'd got a month to cross the street. -Noel Edmonds

There seems to be quite a bit changed from the original's underlying message.
I don't think I'm interested enough to view more.

I was kind of excited for this at first, but it all sounds kind of cheesey to me. I suppose it's hard for a show featuring lizard men of some sort to take itself too seriously. Still I'll give it a chance when it airs in the Uk.

I'm unsure, I loved the original so I think I'll constantly be comparing the two, then again if that creepy kid is still in it I wont watch it, I dont want more nightmares

You got blood on my suit.

i thought it was gonna be some cool drama about how humans would react to aliens coming in peace but no it's the same old clichéd "aliens are coming to kill you" plot.
and it uses that batshit insane reptilian conspiracy bullshit as it's main plot device. fuck this show |

I would prefer an Alien species coming in peace. And no, it doesn't need to be all sitting down drinking tea, there could be some serious fast paced sections.

Perhaps I am the only person here who see's the striking resemblance between this dramatic change in America(figuratively) & the recent dramatic change with barack obama being placed in office while offering these same ideals e.g. "change...hope...universal healthcare."

Almost as cool as lava.

If the visitors don't have unitards like in the 80's, I'm so not watching this.

their techonolgy in this new series would not work with unitards lol, this weeks ep had a nice display of alien tech, won't spoil it for none of you but it's shaping up quite nicely, the first ep was slightly chatotic but this weeks ep proved it can remain intresting when its not, I highly reccomend anyone who hasn't seen it (And is a fan of Sci-fi) to do so. I hope flash forward is watching, its not just about the pilot or the starter its about the main course and the dessert
