Trust 640U usb headset any good?

Hi all,

Have gone through two plantronics audio 90 sets now and want to try this Trust USB one. It is for gaming but also for using skype on my laptop. Has anyone got one of these or someone who has one.

Thanks for your time

For a computer headset, I don't think you can do much better than Beyerdynamic's DT 234 Pro - I have a pair, the sound quality is brilliant, they're ultra-comfortable, and the recording quality is exceptional too.

Thanks for your replies, I had a look at the Beyerdynamic's headset, but I am after a usb one in the 20/30 pound range. The reason for this is that I don't want to unplug loudspeaker/jack plug from my 5.1 on the souncard of my system every time I want to use the headphones.

I just bought the Trust 640U headset and I am delighted with it.

It works great on Skype and MSN and the supplied software contains many different equalizer effects as well as the ability to create and save your own.

I had a few problems with the device disappearing momentarily at first , but I moved it to a different USB card and it has worked solidly ever since.

I feel that this is the best headset in this price range and would recommend it to anyone looking for one.
