Theft Averted.
Someone emailed me to let me know a website was selling decals of Amazing Horse (one of which was $14 if I recall but I could be wrong). I emailed then in a way that pretty much assures rapid removal of said items. You could call me a bit of a troll but I'm getting fed up with people taking and selling my work.

It states quite clearly at the bottom of each and every page on our site that works are copyright. Copyright is also automatically given on the creation of any work as well. Just to let you know that the licence to use our copyrighted images for vinyl decals is £6,000 and since you're already selling them I guess our fee isn't an issue. The licence will only cover the use of the images on decals Worldwide since my company already produces other merchandise based on the characters. I take it you are based in the US just so I know if I need to add VAT or not to the invoice. Jonti Picking AKA Weebl Director and creator of Amazing Horse/ Get on My Horse. So collectively, we are glad to remove both products and not promote your company and video to our clients. Both stickers have been removed with zero sold worldwide. If I am wrong and mistake on how I have taken this email, forgive me and lets start this email again. I have forwarded our attorney your emails regarding the $5 stickers. You're not really one to talk about positive business relationships when your company thought it was fine to just take work without first getting permission. On 31/08/2010 01:01, Cullen Mariacher wrote: Weebs, you are right, but it doesn't compare to your email. We are promoting the Horse, not building a business around it, nor does it really benefit us. With all due respect, I feel we are doing the Horse a favor submitting it to be viewed by the decent amount of traffic we create. Brand awareness // brand recognition, more the better. So, these simple stickers that we plot in house are on our site because a few of the guys here wanted the Horse on their car, to promote the video, like a brand on their car so to speak. This isn't some operation out to undermine promo sales for whatever products you may have for sale. If anything, I would think you would be stoked that we are promoting the video in the states with some basic stickers. What this conversation should be about is how we can take your Horse to the next level in the states. We have a full blown marketing studio in house that can easily take on the job, nicely... and the guys like the video, which is great because we only take clients that we like. Let me know how you would like to proceed... Cullen Mariacher President Street Unit Performance, Inc. Anything else you say is merely ass-covering. Since you've taken the items down I consider this matter closed. In future I suggest you actually go about things the right way if you wish to work and profit from stuff your team likes. We could well have had some sort of mutually beneficial deal but I find your lack of honesty off-putting. On 31/08/2010 01:56, Cullen Mariacher wrote: They are off the site because of the tone of your first email, common sense. Me not honest? you clearly then have no idea who you are talking to. you got a dose of complete honesty. this is your loss, not ours. the guys will read this correspondence and want nothing to do with the Horse. All because of your too good, stuck up ego prevailing in business matters. Thats a typical artist though, not surprised, I understand completely, gotta make that money and protect your work from thieves. Sorry amazing horse, your father can't see a good thing when its right in front of him, your father has given you a black eye. Cullen Mariacher President Street Unit Performance, Inc. I think the sheer amount of people asking if they can remix Amazing Horse kinda proves that. |

Grade 1 bullshit, the idea they were doing you and your little website a favour, and to kick off is just ungrateful. |

Plus he keeps referring to 'the Horse' like he wants the horse to get involved.
Anyway, it's still stealing, and you get much more traffic here and on Youtube, not from some website selling tacky bumper stickers. Quote:

What a tool he seems to be. You stood up for your rights weebs. And not sold a single unit of "the Horse" stickers?? Why did he make such a fuzz over it if that was the case?

Damn, that is one cocky bastard. He clearly doesn't understand the culture of the internet, or else he'd realise you're doing fine without some US company selling stickers of your work. Heh, and he says you have an ego problem!

i don't like people like that Cullen person. The email Weebl sent was written in the most polite way i can imagine, and C**ten thinks the tone of the email was meant to be hostile.

Asking for permission or at least informing Weebl would've been at least polite and sober of this Cullen person if nothing else. This Cullen person is obviously in no position to act in such hostile manner.

We're actually closer to 900,000 unique visitors a month according to Google. That's just to this site and we're quite popular on YouTube.

How utterly rude, it doesn't take a minute to ask permission. Speaking of which can I have permission to promote your brand by selling lots of tshirts and stuff made from the cheapest available material with all of your popular charaters on. Badly spelled probably, you know how the cheap indo-chinese labour is! I will sell these for about £40 each in a not for profit venture to, um, raise awareness of your site and any few pennies left over will go to the Lugubrious tide needs a ducati 1198 charity, registered charity number....4. I will also promote your brand by dressing up all my street vendors in giant Weeble and Bob costumes, with the added benifit of hiding them from the immigration inspectors. Many thanks in anticipation of your permission, all I require now is a cheque from you for about £10,999 to cover materials needed for costumes etc. I feel this will be a massive boost to your brand and well worth the small investment. Ta, LT.
